RV Princess Royal Cruise Programs (1st Oct 2016 - 1st May 2017)


Mandalay - Yandabo Village - Bagan (Downstream) - 1 Night / 2 Days

 Day 1 Mandalay - Yandabo (76 MILES) (L, D)

Embarkation time is 09:00 at Shwe Kyat Yatt Jetty (Mandalay). Welcome Drink and briefing. Cruising downstream to Yandabo Village. Sightseeing about an hour at Yandabo Village. Dependant on the base economy is famous for the production of terracotta from the riverbank clay. We can see the process of making pottery in various stages. Yandabo, historically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Burma. Back to the board and cast off. Lunch and Dinner on board. Moor overnight on board near Chindwin confluence.

  Day 2 Yandabo Village - Bagan (63 MILES) (B)

In the morning, continue sailing downstream and arrive to Bagan round about 09:30 am. Disembark from board.

 


Mandalay - Mingun - Sagaing - Yandabo Village - Bagan (Downstream) - 2 Nights / 3 Days

 Day 1 Mandalay - Mingun - Sagaing (21 MILES) (L, D)

Embarkation time is 10:00 at Shwe Kyat Yet Jetty (Mandalay), Welcome Drink and briefing. Sail upstream for two and half hour and we will arrive at the MINGUN Pagoda Complex. Short trip to see the unfinished pagoda, the Mingun Bell (weighting 90 tones), the biggest hanging undamaged bell in the world, and the “Home For The Aged”. Back to the board and sail continues downstream to Sagaing. Visit to Sagaing (the most important Buddhist Religion site) for about two & half hours excursion. Enjoy the sunset over Sagaing Hill. Moor overnight at a sandbank mid-stream. After dinner guests can enjoy a Traditional Dance on the sundeck (if available). Lunch and Dinner on board.

 Day 2 Sagaing - Yandabo Village (57 MILES) (B, L, D)

In the morning, cruising downstream to Yandabo Village. Sightseeing Yandabo Village, dependant on the base economy is famous for the production of terracotta from the riverbank clay. Yandabo, historically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Burma. Shore excursion time is 1 hour. Back to board and cast off. Continue sailing downstream and moor overnight at near Chindwin confluence.

 Day 3 Yandabo Village - Bagan (63 MILES) (B)

Cast off early morning, continue sailing downstream and approximately arrive to Bagan about 09:30 am. Disembark from board.


Bagan - River Village - Yandabo Village - Mandalay (Upstream) - 2 Nights / 3 Days

 Day 1 Bagan - Shwe Pyi Thar Village (L, D)

Embarkation time is 10:30 at Irrawaddy Princess Jetty, Welcome Drink and briefing. The board will sail upstream. In the late afternoon, stop in at the typical river Village. We can see the cultural of Myanmar people and their living style. After a short excursion, return back on board and continuous upstream and Moor overnight on board.

 Day 2 Shwe Pyi Thar Village - Yandabo Village (B, L, D)

In the early morning, continuous upstream to Yandabo Village about 9:00am. Dependant on the base economy is famous for the production of terracotta from the riverbank clay. We see the pottery making process at various stages. Yandabo, historically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Royal Burmese House-hold of Ava. After a short excursion, return back on board and continuous upstream and Moor overnight on board near Chindwin confluence.

 Day 3 Yandabo Village - Mandalay (B)

Early morning, continue sailing upstream and arrive to Mandalay. Disembark at about 09:00 am.

Remarks: Sightseeing may be changed due to the water level and weather condition.

Embarkation time is 10:00 at Shwekyetyet Jetty (Mandalay). Welcome Drink and briefing.Sail upstream for about one and half hour we arrived at the MINGUN Pagoda Complex. Mingun Bell

Well known short trip to see the unfinished pagoda, the Mingun Bell, weighting 90 tones and the biggest hanging undamaged bell in the world and the "Home For The Aged".

After lunch on board and continues downstream to Sagaing. Visit to Sagaing for about Two & half hour’s excursion by coach. Visiting the most important Buddhist Religion site.Back to the board and sail downstream.
