Yangon arrival

As you present in Yangon Airport, you will soon be welcomed and picked up by a tour guide to the hotel. Take your time for refreshment and break before an afternoon walking tour around the city of Yangon. Afternoon comes, at 03:30pm; your tour guide will guide you to the downtown to experience the different culture, language, region, people and history of Myanmar. Next up, you will leave for the Sinohedan Harbor to witness the local’s way of living and capture a very eye-catching sunset over the river before driving back to the hotel for a good night at Green Hill Hotel Yangon.

Yangon – Mandalay by morning flight

  Transfer to the airport to take morning Flight to Mandalay. Present in Mandalay, travel around Mahanumi, gold leaf making center, marble sculpture and tapestry workshops, leave for Kuthodaw pagoda, golden palace monastery, Atumashi monastery and Kyauktawgyi pagoda, enjoy the sunset.

This morning you will be transfer to Yangon Airport to morning flight to Mandalay. Arrive Mandalay and start a sightseeing tour around this humble city, including Mahanumi, a gold leaf making center; marble sculpture and tapestry workshops. Next up, you will enjoy lunch and check in the hotel for relaxing and getting ready for the trip in the afternoon. The Old Palace grounds: Kuthodaw Pagoda is the upcoming destination to go for. This is the largest book in the world, then leave for Golden Palace Monastery; Atumashi Monastery and Kyauktawgyi Pagoda before enjoying the sunset over the city hill of Mandalay. Later, you get back to the hotel and have a good night at hotel Amazing Hotel Mandalay.

Mandalay (Gawein) – Mingun (SUNDAY)

Free in the morning until transfer to jetty for check-in cruise. The embarkation time is at 12 noon at Gawein jetty. Welcome Cocktail in the Saloon. Cast off time is at 12:30 hrs. Lunch will be served at 13.00. The sailing time is about 2 hrs. Our English speaking manager (or your private guide) will assist the guests during the visit of the Mingun Pagoda Complex. Moor Overnight at a sandbank mid-stream. After dinner guests can enjoy a Dance and Drama performance by the Mandalay Arts School on the sundeck (if available).

Mingun – Sagaing – River Village (MONDAY)

  Go sightseeing, cruise to Sagaing, drop by a river village

Early in the morning cruise downstream. During the 2 hours journey the passengers can admire the natural beauty of the river and the life of its banks while relaxing on the sundeck or just sitting outside their own cabin. Enjoy the sunrise over Sagaing Hill. After breakfast passengers can go ashore to visit Sagaing with the assistance of our Ship Manager or their own guide. The cast off time is at 10.30 hrs. Lunch will be served at 13.00. In the late afternoon we stop at Yandabo, a village specialize in Pot-Making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed on Feb. 24, 1826. Cruise all day and moor overnight near a river village. Moor overnight near the village of Shwe Nann Tint.

Bagan – check out cruise, Bagan tour (TUESDAY)

  Downstream to Bagan, check-out cruise, Bagan half day tour in the afternoon

Early in the morning we proceed Downstream to Bagan. Enjoy the sunrise near Bagan. Passengers will disembark at Aye Yar jetty around 9:30 hrs. After check-out cruise our guide and driver will transfer you to Bagan and enjoy the trip to the most famed pagoda of Shwezigon which was considered as a model for pagodas throughout Myanmar. Next up, you will leave for Htilominlo temple and Ananda temple and experience these two unique architectures before having joyful lunch at a standard local restaurant and check in the hotel for relaxing, getting ready for a desirable afternoon tour. At 15:30, you will start exploring the rest of Bagan city on the horse drawn carriage, travelling through ancient temples complex of Pahtothamya, Thatbyinnyu, Dhammanyangy and Sulamani before enjoying the sunset over Pyathatgyi monastery. Later, you will drive back to hotel and have a good night at Bagan Ayeyar Hotel River View.

Bagan – Yangon Departure
